Stansya began playing the piano at the early age of 4. Studying privately with some of the finest teachers in Indonesia which helped her develop an ear for Classical piano.
Studying mostly classical music Stansya progressed through all of the Piano Grades, achieving a distinction. Whilst working through examinations, Stansya also entered a number of Piano competitions , including the Prestigious Bandung Open category held in Indonesia which she was fortunate to come first in. In addition she was placed second respectively in a number of other Piano competitions including the Batam International which was an honour.
Some composers that Stansya studied and enjoys playing are Chopin, Schubert, Mozart and a number of others. Staynsa is now working towards completing her studies at The Australian Institute Of Music, where she was fortunate to recieve a scholarship for Performance.
In addition to Classical music and Piano music in general, Stansya enjoys listening to and playing pop/modern music on the Piano. Staynsas hobbies include travel and drawing which she likes doing on her down time.
Stanysa is also motivated to pass on her knowledge and skills to her Piano students, which is also a fulfilling experience.
Amanda started piano lessons at the age of 7 under the tutelage of Mrs Irene Pereira (LTCL,LRSM). Throughout school, college and university, she won various competitions and scholarships and has 10 years of teaching experience to her credit.
In 2006, she graduated with a double major in Sociology-Psychology, and in 2008 completed her Masters in Sociology. In 2010, Amanda completed her Licentiate Diploma in Piano Performance (L.T.C.L) from Trinity College, London with a distinction.
Over the years, she has taught students of all ages, and trained students for competitions, recitals and exams across different international boards including Trinity College, London, the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM), London College of Music and more recently the Australian Music Examinations Board(AMEB). She also accompanies choirs, musicians and individuals for religious functions, commercial events, exams and competitions.
In 2011, she trained in Early Childhood Education and Piano Pedagogy and Development under Mary Stouffer and Karen Quinton from the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto, Canada. She then went on to co-formulate piano curriculum, train, mentor, manage teachers and help lauch centres for Furtados School of Music- India’s biggest music school, with branches across the country. She also headed the music program for children with special needs. In addition she is certified in Baby and Toddler courses from Musikgarten (U.S.A).
In 2012, Amanda was 1 of 14 musicians and educators from India to be selected for the prestigious exchange program in New York with the Academy- a program of Carnegie Hall, Julliard School and Weill Music Institute. She strongly believes in outreach through music and has provided ‘know how’ for the keyboard curriculum for Mewsic- the Brett Lee foundation for underprivileged children in India. She also volunteers for music studies and research at the University of Western Sydney regularly.
